『고용허가제 한국어능력시험(EPS-TOPIK) NEW 한국어 표준교재』는 예비 외국인 근로자들이 한국어를 효과적으로 학습할수 있도록 구성한 교재입니다. 이 교재는 NCS 직무 분석과 외국인 근로자와 고용주를 대상으로 실시한 요구 조사, 업종별 전문가의 자문을 통해 추출한 총 8개의 주제 범주와 60개의 직무를 바탕으로 개발하였습니다. 1권은 ‘일상생활’에 필요한 한국어 30단원으로, 2권은 ‘직장생활’에 필요한 한국어 30단원으로 구성하였습니다.
『고용허가제 한국어능력시험(EPS-TOPIK) NEW 한국어 표준교재』는 한글과 인사 표현 학습을 위한 예비편으로 시작하며, 각 단원은 도입, 어휘, 문법, 대화, 문화와 정보, EPS-TOPIK 모의시험으로 구성되어 있습니다. 먼저, 도입에서는 삽화가 아닌 사진과 대화 쌍을 활용하여 학습 목표와 학습 내용을 소개하고, 학습자의 흥미를 유발하고 아울러 배경지식을 활성화하고자 했습니다.
어휘는 삽화나 사진 등의 시각 자료를 통해 학습의 효율성을 높이고자 하였습니다. 문법은 각 단원의 대화문에서 추출한 총 120개의 문법 항목을 단원별로 두 개씩 배치하였습니다. 대화는 외국인 근로자들이 경험할 수 있는 대표적인 일상생활 및 직장생활 상황을 중심으로 내용을 구성함으로써 실질적인 의사소통 능력을 향상시키고자 하였습니다. 어휘, 문법, 대화는 두 개의 세션으로 나누어 구성하였으며 유의미한 연습과 의사소통 능력 향상을 위한 말하기 중심의 활동을 함께 제시하였습니다.
단원마다 발음 학습란을 두어 목표 발음을 연습할 수 있도록 해당 발음에 대한 상세한 설명과 함께 음원을 제공하였습니다. 또한 유용한 표현 학습란을 두어 실생활에서 자주 사용되는 표현을 제시하고, 대화 상황에서 그 의미를 파악하고 연습할 수 있도록 하였습니다. 문화와 정보는 한국문화를 이해하고 한국 생활에 필요한 실제 정보를 얻을 수 있도록 언어문화, 일상문화, 직장문화의 내용을 다루었고, 특히 2권에서는 한국의 산업 현황을 이해하고 산업 현장에 필요한 정보를 알 수 있도록 각 단원의 주제와 관련된 정보 내용을 다루었습니다.
각 단원의 끝에는 EPS-TOPIK 읽기, 듣기 모의 평가문항을 제시하여 학습자들이 시험의 유형을 익히고 시험 준비를 체계적으로 할 수 있도록 구성하였습니다.
The ‘Employment Permit System TOPIK (EPS-TOPIK) NEW Standard Korean Textbook’ is designed to help prospective foreign workers effectively learn Korean. This textbook was developed using data from the NCS job analysis and a needs assessment conducted on foreign workers and employers, as well as advice from industry experts. It covers a total of 8 themes
and 60 functions. Volume 1 contains 30 units focuses on Korean for everyday life, and Volume 2 consists of 30 units focused on work life Korean.
The ‘Employment Permit System TOPIK (EPS-TOPIK) NEW Standard Korean Textbook’ begins with a preliminary section for learning Hangeul and greetings. Each unit follows the order of Introduction, Vocabulary, Grammar, Conversation, Culture and Information, and EPS-TOPIK. In the introduction, photos paired with dialogue are used instead of illustrations to present the learning objectives and content, aiming to engage learners’ interest and activate their background knowledge.
In the VOCABULARY section, visual materials such as illustrations or photos are used to enhance learning effectiveness. The GRAMMAR section introduces two new grammar points per unit, with a total of 120 grammar points taken from the conversation sections of each unit. Each CONVERSATION is centered on typical daily life and situations in the workplace that foreign workers may experience, aiming to improve practical communication skills. The vocabulary, grammar, and conversation sections are divided in two, with speaking-focused activities that promote meaningful practice and enhance communication skills.
Additionally, each unit includes a PRONUNCIATION section, offering detailed explanations and audio resources to help learners practice specific target pronunciations. There is also a USEFUL EXPRESSIONS section that presents commonly used expressions, allowing learners to understand and practice the meaning of each one in a conversational context. The CULTURE
AND INFORMATION sections cover language culture, daily life culture, and workplace culture to help learners understand Korean culture and acquire practical information for life in Korea. In particular, Volume 2 includes content related to Korea’s industrial landscape and information relevant to the workplace to support understanding of various industries.
At the end of each unit is the EPS-TOPIK section that provides reading and listening practice questions, allowing learners to become familiar with the test format and prepare systematically.
